HI to start this off, my birthday is this month and I will be turning the big 50!! I tell my granddaughter that i am 29 but that does not work anymore. Her dad is 30. My kids gave me a surprize party on sat. thank u kids!!!

My kids gave me pics for my birthday here are the kids (minus sam and new baby cause she is not here yet) Top row is Tatianna 5, Trista 6, Seth 4, second row is Olivia 1 3/4 (2 in May) Amaya 8, Connor 5, and in front is Savanna 2 1/2.

Here is the whole gang Little kids already named, 1st Big person is Jasmine 22, then Tiffany 20,future DIL(with Neveah in her Belly) Heath 28 is in back, Seth 30, and Rhi 26 (i think)Seth's wife.

Also there was my Brother Jeff, wife Robin(a fellow quilter) there daughter Linda and grandson Christian, my brother and his wife are amazing they do foster care for kids and they are just amazing!!

My Uncle Dick and Aunt Joan, great people when i was younger spent the better part of a summer with them in Canada.

My brother Richard, and Fiancee Nicole, there children, Joshua, Kalynn, and Dakota!!

And Richard's future DIL Carrie, and her little one Leigh, .

My mom and Greyden(her Husband) could not make it beacuse it is too far to drive.

Alison a long time friend sent a card and a lovely gift,

Paula just had her new Grandson, born this week!!!

Another friend named Paula could not make it. And Darlene, Rick, and Lydia, where not here because they where sick,

And Rhi's mom Gina was also there (she helped get me there.)

I was playing in my sewing room and found some strips of scraps, so i made a chinese coins baby quilt.

This is a scarppy baby quilt i finished putting together also from a Fons and Porter easy quilts book.

this is the next step on Claudias bom, I am thinking it is gonna be like a round robin?

well tosay started off great went to take kids to bus and my husky Sammie broke loose so had to chase her and caught her, then we made a new run for her. while we where waiting for the bus we almost got hit by a car driving to fast on the slippery road and came acroos 2 lanes into the end of our road just missing me and the kids, i looked up and yelled at the kids to run back toward house just in time, then the young girl driving had the nerve to get mad at me, when i said to her u almost hit us she said i was going the speed limit 40 i said no it is 35 and the roads are icy and slippery so u need to slow down, luckily no one was hurt. The girls have been fussy also(it is monday!!) Hopefullt this is not a sign on what will happen the rest of the week. hugs to all.

This first 1 is olivia's finished quilt.

this is Trista's pillow case
this is a crazy eight baby quilt, i bought the pattern and kit at Kathy's in sanford on my mini shop hop with friends ( did at darlenes)
this was a charm Pack, I bought on fabric hop also, figure for a baby (since new baby on the way) if it is a boy (did at darlenes)
This was a mystery top i finished at darlene's the first of the month

this is a top i sewed and tied, from start to finish took 1 week, (did at darlene's)

this is trista quilt it is finished it was made by Dawa in Australia, and I added borders and hand quilted in the ditch.
This is a baby top i got on my mini shop hop and put borders on, trying to decide whether to add another border or not

Hi I went on a sewing day with friends, Darlene and Paula, my sewing machine came back from the doctors but something is still wrong with it it is going back tomorrow. did not get much sewing done but did manage to get claudia's block of the month done 8 12 1/2 inch blocks, and a couple other things. we went to a quilt shop called Nana Sue's they had a sale buy one yard of non sale fabric and get 2nd for 99 so good deal got 2 yards also they have a faboulous crate of scraps we all jumped into he has bags that u can fill for 350 great buy!! great lunch at Paula's, and great Banana splits after!!!! Thank you Paula for being the hostess!! and thank u Darlene for the ride!! mavie

Well the weekend was not productive in sewing, Sat my daughter took me shopping and bought me 2 pair of shorts and 2 shirts, and i cut alot of things for sewing next weekend at Paula's, sunday was gonna do some sewing, and at 10 when i was getting ready to get out machine, the power went out stayed out until almost 5 so no sewing sunday either.

Hi this weekend has been warm and beautiful we got some yard work done, still a little bit of snow in places, Well i did the formal dress for Jasmine for a black and white thing for next week, boy was it a pain to do, finally got the lining and shoulders in right!! only took all day sat!! will post a pic sometime this week when i get one taken. Today I spent putting the blocks together for the Weekend whatever #22 have 1 row left to put together then put on the sashings!! Then I want to finish the Carolina crossroads, and do the next step on claudia's BOM and another NMRR and step 2 on the orange crush!! so much to do so little time!!

Well Easter dinner went well all the kids where here so a houseful!!
1. 10 Log cabin blocks for quilting for all (have all but 2 sets done)
2. 2 25 patches for Ellen (cut and ready)
3. finish quiltsbykos mystery 2 steps left (3/4 done)
4. Finish Carolina crossroads on step 3 ( only 7 of the triangle units left out of 40)
5. all done!!!
6. Do the halloween blocks into a top ( this is half done now)
7. make 2 more pillow cases
8. decide on block for a no mail round robin for quilts by kos Have decided on this gonna be a pinwheel
9. weekend whatever mystery to finish top (still need to do)

Yesterday was Saint Patricks day, this was my oldest 29th birthday!!! (wow i feel old now), this weekend sewing was a bust was in a lazy mood and read and watched tv. but sunday I got things ready to sew , monday I got a box of scraps from Sue r from 3 sisters and also 12 halloween blocks, already decided how to put them together, today while babies where sleeping I sewed parts of a step for a quilt by kos (need to finish this top) I did the Carolina crossroads starting on the triangle blocks, and still have things to finish, oh on sunday finished repairing son's quilt it got a 3 corner tear on it, hemmed 3 pillow cases.
Things I need to get done
1. 10 Log cabin blocks for quilting for all
2. 2 25 patches for Ellen
3. finish quiltsbykos mystery 2 steps left
4. Finish Carolina crossroads on step 3
5. Red work Block
6. Do the halloween blocks into a top

The first picture is 3 pillow cases almost finished for christmas, the next is a log cabin block, I made 4 of these 2 to swap and 2 for me, well i sent them to the wrong person so now to send these to the other lady, next are step 3 little 9 patches for carolina crossroads, and then next picture is step 12 for 4+4+1 mystery from quiltsbykos, next is step 2 for weekend whatever blocks (32 ninepatches) and last is a mystery step 2 from 3sisters on msn. now just to get some more of these done!! mavie

This weekend was great. I spent Saturday at Paula's house with paula, darlene, and victoria, we got alot accomplished, we went to a quilt shop and a few of us raided the scrap bin there!! also raided paula's scraps!! Darlene and I left about 7 and got to my house about 815(it was pouring rain) and darlene continued home. I did alot of prep work for today!! I finished 4 log cabin blocks 2 for a swap 2 for me. i got step 12 of a mystery quiltbykos done(only 3 more clues!!) I got almost all my last 80 tiny 9 patches done, for carolina crossroads, and almost all the bigger 9 patches for a mystery from quiltaholics, and got step 2 done on a mystery for 3 sisters, also sewed 3 pillow cases together just have to finish the tops of them!! (christmas gifts for grands now to do 4 more. will post pics tomorrow after batteries charge. Mavie

Hi today has been awful Jasmine was in an accident this am. slippery roads. this poor girl bought this car in july and this is the 4th accident 3 not her fault this one the roads. I feel so bad for her.

Hi I will post pics later today of what i may get accomplished today. have the 1st 9 patches done for carolina crossroads will take pic later now to do the 3rd step 80 more of those things. also have pary of thr Crayon box cut out from Bonnie Hunters site. will post pics later. have to do 3rd round on no mail round robim all cut and just need to iron first step have to do 2 log cabin blocks today and also need to do next block on Claudia,s bom and next step on the 411 mystery from kos have first 12 done.

Happy New Year, well I finished 8 log cabin blocks 4 for swap 4 for me, I finished some churn dash blocks from a friend 6 in all, I did my blocks for ellen always make 2 for mew the same. Finished the top just my size, will take pic today. now back to having kids for the day!! only 3 so not to bad. Mavie

hI ALL i have gotton Heather's quilt done except for the binding and a label I have gotton Rhi's & seth's quilt done exceptfor label and binding sewed down, now off to get 2 tablerunners too this point and 8 placemats!!!
